0.1 Getting Started
The Modern Classrooms learning series is run over the course of 4 weeks. In our sessions together, we will discuss, explore, practice, and model aspects of the Modern Classrooms framework.
As we are learning about the model, participants are expected to work through the customized HDSB free course from Modern Classrooms Project. Each week will cover a module and our virtual learning sessions will be devoted to collaboration and discussion around these modules to help support you as you build your resources for your Modern classroom.
We are so excited that you’ve decided to join us for this learning series! To get started, complete the tasks outlined below before our first meeting. We’ve arranged them in the Modern Classrooms framework, so you’ll see Must Do items, Should Do items, and Aspire To Do items.
Must Do
- Fill out the form to sign up for the learning series
- Complete the First Module (“Your Modern Classroom Starts Here”) of the Modern Classroom Essentials Free Course (customized for HDSB)
- Bookmark the HDSB Shift website!
Should Do
- Choose a course / subject / grade to focus on over the next 4 weeks
- Check out the Week 1 Resources!
- Join the Currents community and participate in the discussion
Aspire To Do
- Take some time to explore the exemplars and other resources on the Modern Classrooms website
- Join the Modern Classrooms Facebook Group
